继续阅读On 20th December 2020, BINUS NORTHUMBRIA School of Design in collaboration with Harper’s Bazaar Indonesia held a premiere of their virtual fashion show which was shown on the Youtube channels of both organisations marking the first cooperation of its kind between an educational institution and a media organisation. The theme of the show; ‘The Passage of Srivijaya’ was inspired by South Sumatra’s traditional cultures, natural richness, and historical values. The show also told the story of the kingdom of Srivijaya, an empire based on the island of Sumatra which influenced much of Southeast Asia and was an important centre for the expansion of Buddhism from the 8th to the 12th century AD.

继续阅读BINUS UNIVERSITY lecturers and researchers Ms Mita Purbasari Wahidiyat, Ms Yunida Sofiana, and Ms Octaviana Rombe have recently completed their year-long research on environmentally-friendly alternatives to wood for the production of household furniture. As such, the researchers have developed their own patented brand ‘KNOKBAM’, which is derived from ‘knokdown’ — furniture that can be easily assembled and reassembled — and ‘bambu’ — bamboo plants that are native to Indonesia and Asia.
