On 27th September 2017, BINUS UNIVERSITY won first place at the Indonesian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) Study Awards 2017, which recognises organisations for best practices in Knowledge Management at a ceremony held by the Dunamis Organisational Services at The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Jakarta. At the ceremony, nominees were assessed according to eight MAKE criteria including; creating an enterprise knowledge-driven culture; developing human resources through senior management leadership; delivering knowledge-based products/services/solutions; maximising an enterprise’s intellectual capital; creating an environment for collaborative knowledge sharing; creating a learning organization; delivering value, based on consumer knowledge; and transforming enterprise knowledge into shareholder value. BINUS UNIVERSITY was judged as excelling in all these areas.
This year, BINUS UNIVERSITY marks its 10th consecutive win at the awards since 2007. In securing first place, the university will represent Indonesia along with PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT United Tractors Tbk as finalists for the 2018 Asian MAKE Study Award – marking the second time that BINUS University will represent the country at the Asian stage of the awards. BINUS UNIVERSITY’s Vice Rector of Academic Operations & Resources, Ms Nelly S.Kom. MM, expressed the university’s hope that this achievement will motivate its students to manage and apply their knowledge to numerous industries and sectors in Asia — this will also increase opportunities for the university to add to its already extensive international network of partners.
BINUS UNIVERSITY’s win at the Indonesian MAKE Study Award 2017 is demonstrative of its commitment to always undertaking the best practices in implementing knowledge to generate practical innovations, and passing those practices to its students to further support their success in an increasingly competitive and globalised world.
