On 30th September 2016, BINUS UNIVERSITY hosted a seminar on the principles of foreign exchange and micro-learning in collaboration with renowned Singaporean-based trading firm Six Capital. The company sought to provide its in-depth insights on investment strategies for the financial markets through its cutting-edge risk management platform, Ricebowl®. Through this seminar, BINUS UNIVERSITY aimed to educate its students on the various methods of seeking safe returns on investments and maximising profits in the stock markets amid current market volatility.
Senior-level management members of Six Capital including Ms Grace Tjaha as Six Capital President Director for Indonesia, Mr Ang Yin Chong as Deputy Chief Dealer as well as Executive Vice President of Special Projects Mr Jaiprakash Singh attended the event and shared their knowledge on the latest trading technique involving crowd trading — when investors follow the trading positions and movements of different segment of traders and display them in an easy-to-understand format — which is ideal for first time investors with no prior experience on Forex or the stock markets. As such, Six Capital has established micro-learning laboratories as a means to develop better understanding of the financial markets; this is a knowledge-based approach towards information gathering which makes learning quick and easy to comprehend. As part of its latest partnership with BINUS UNIVERSITY, Six Capital will also provide access to its learning laboratories to enrolled students so as to prepare future graduates seeking to engage in the financial markets.
BINUS UNIVERSITY’s recent seminar on foreign exchange and micro-learning reiterates the importance of applying a prudent approach to trading on the stock markets. By exposing students to this seminar, the university hopes to showcase that with current global market volatility where growth remains fragile and risks have increased, the creation of new innovative trading strategies are therefore needed to achieve consistent growth.
