BINUS UNIVERSITY student Mr Refiandi Muchdas was chosen as an intern to help organise the upcoming Asian Games — a pan-Asian multi-sport event which will be held in Indonesia. Mr Muchdas, along with 560 other students from across the country, will gain important technical skills for a variety of media-related fields as well as develop an understanding of the nuances of the world of sports broadcasting.
As part of his responsibilities, Mr Muchdas will assist in planning the layout of Hall B of the Jakarta Convention Centre, which will be used as the media room for the duration of the games. Using his knowledge and skills from his background in architecture, Mr Muchdas will also work in conjunction with interior designers from around the world to create functional and organized spaces that can be easily and fully utilized. This involves optimally arranging the hall to accommodate furniture, equipment, and telecommunications, in addition to making the location aesthetically appealing for the vast number of local and international media outlets attending this major event.
Through his achievement, Mr Muchdas has demonstrated the capacity for BINUS UNIVERSITY to make available unsurpassed extra-curricular programmes. As such, this is made possible through the university’s efforts in forging strategic partnerships with prominent international organisations.
