BINUS UNIVERSITY, in collaboration with Udayana University, has established a short course for international students focusing on ‘Embracing Business Opportunities in the ASEAN Region’. The programme focuses on the cultures, demographics, politics and regulations of each member state, and how these elements influence business outcomes as the region becomes integrated into the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
The programme is set to take place over four weeks in August comprising of classroom-based lectures that cover theoretical analysis, case studies and group presentations. The courses will be delivered at the BINUS UNIVERSITY campus in Jakarta as well as the Udayana University campus in Bali, where students will engage in a variety of subjects covering human resource management in the ASEAN, intellectual property rights and the impact of the AEC on businesses in the region and the world. Students will be introduced to the Indonesian language and local customs such as traditional dances, batik workshops and martial arts. Furthermore, the programme will also facilitate site visits to local companies, institutions and organisations in Jakarta as well as Bali. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of attendance and eight course credits.
