BINUS UNIVERSITY is committed to delivering unsurpassed student experience services thus the university makes available programmes as well as organisations ranging from Alumni Network and BINUS UNIVERSITY Learning Community. To encourage students in partaking in community development initiatives, BINUS UNIVERSITY has also setup Teach For Indonesia thus enabling enrolled students the opportunity to closely engage with Indonesian society. Under the guidance of the International Office, BINUS UNIVERSITY continues to successfully implement recruitment strategies for international students by offering courses that are taught in English. Currently, BINUS UNIVERSITY offers the BINA NUSANTARA Mandarin Club as well as the Mandarin Literature Student Organisation which strives to facilitate students from Chinese-speaking regions; these clubs also enable students to explore BINUS UNIVERSITY’s diverse cultural background.

On 3rd February 2017, BINUS UNIVERSITY hosted the Indonesian Rectors Forum 2017 at the university’s Alam Sutera location as well as at the BINUS Northumbria School of Design in Jakarta; the event was part of the National Conference of Indonesian Rectors Forum that was opened by Indonesian President Joko Widodo. The conference gathered the country’s higher education institution’s leaders in order to discuss issues impacting the country's local youths while also providing solutions to overcome the challenges. The event also demonstrated the current administration’s efforts to better focus on the country’s education sector as a means to produce the next generation of Indonesians who are creative, innovative, have strong work ethics, and are able to compete on the local and international stage. As such, BINUS UNIVERSITY’s participation in the event illustrated the university’s competitive advantage in the sector that is supported through qualified teaching professionals and an all-encompassing learning facility.
During the visit to BINUS UNIVERSITY’s campuses, participants had the opportunity to partake in a sharing and discussion session on managing higher education institutions that was led by Rector of BINUS UNIVERSITY, Prof. Dr. Ir. Harjanto Prabowo. As part of the programme, visitors were given a tour of BINUS UNIVERSITY’s facilities and resources which is an integral aspect for producing globally-minded graduates. Moreover, the participation at the national conference is also in keeping with the university’s vision of “Fostering and Empowering Society in Building and Serving the Nation” hence stands as testament to its unparalleled commitment to Indonesia’s future development. Having received numerous praise from event participants, BINUS UNIVERSITY is increasingly poised to improve upon its current learning as well as teaching tools and resources in order to remain ahead of the tightening competition.
