On 15th April 2015, the Rector of Perbanas Institute, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Marsudi Wahyu Kisworo, and the Head of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Indonesia, Mr Mulyadi Setiakusuma, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a partnership centred on the continued development of Perbanas’ Undergraduate Accounting programme. The signing stands as testimony to the institute’s active commitment towards realising the goals set out in ‘Vision 2019’ of becoming one of Asia’s most reputable banking and financial education institutions.
The scope of the MoU includes information exchange, joint seminars, research projects, publications, academic support, and preparations for an official accountant certification from ACCA made available to Perbanas students. The cooperation – signed at Perbanas Postgraduate School – will therefore provide Perbanas students enrolled in the Undergraduate Accounting program with a competitive edge upon entering the workforce and equip them with the qualifications needed to assume key positions within both local and international firms.
Indonesia continues to present considerable opportunities for skilled accountants, and Perbanas has taken the lead in strategically designing a curriculum through collaboration with esteemed international organisations such as ACCA to ensure the ready availability of highly qualified professionals within this field.
