As the latest in a long line of achievements for the institution’s esteemed faculty members, Perbanas Institute’s Dean for the Faculty of Information Technology, Dr Harya Damar Widiputra, ST., M.Kom., received an ‘Outstanding Lecturer’ academic award from Indonesia’s Higher Education Coordinating Board Region III (Kopertis III) on 24th August 2015. In recognition of his abilities as a lecturer, Dr Harya was named one of the ‘first-rank’ award recipients out of 336 applicants – the highest distinction in this category – and as such will go on to represent lecturers from Jakarta-based private institutions on the national stage as the Higher Education Coordinating Board extends its search for the finest educators to Indonesia in its entirety. Moreover, Dr Harya’s prestigious award is representative of the high-quality education standards upheld at Perbanas Institute and reinforces the institution’s reputation for recruiting fully qualified teaching professionals able to spearhead innovative breakthroughs in education.
Under the issued letter of the Higher Education Coordinating Board Region III No. 725/K3/KT/2015, Dr Harya’s proposal for the PP-PTS 2015 programme surpassed the criteria for quality education and commendable teaching methods. With a Ph.D from the Auckland University of Technology, Dr Harya’s accomplishments in academia also extend to numerous publications on a wide range of IT topics.
Under the ‘Vision 2019’ programme, Perbanas Institute continues to make headway in producing skilled graduates with the capabilities to pursue fruitful careers in banking and finance.
