Committed to serving the business community, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya also offers research and seminars to public and private corporations. Several of the school’s centres of research have been developed to advance knowledge for business communities through research, business dialogues and discussion forums among business practitioners, industry players and academics. Topics that cover best management practice in Asian state-owned companies, infrastructural development, innovation, green business (such as the green car industry), food resilience and global fisheries have been arranged by Universitas Prasetiya Mulya in business dialogue events, and seek to address the prevailing issues by gathering business people with policy makers, academics and the media.
The school has a proven record in working with renowned institutions on formulating policies and carrying out comparison studies. The school also cooperates with the Indonesian government, national and multi-national corporate organisations and notable business schools in Asia through events such as the annual Global Scholar Network. This event invites various scholars from industries, leading business schools based in Asia and further abroad to discuss pressing business issues; including but not limited to global networking and management, as well as economic and business convergence between the East and West. A collaborative seminar with the Asia Pacific Business and Sustainability Council was held in 2012 discussing best practice in green business for Indonesian executives and business leaders.
Universitas Prasetiya Mulya also hosts seminars pertaining to micro and small to medium enterprises. Every year the school gathers SMEs to discuss topics ranging from green business practices to entrepreneurship development and export motivation.
