The recently established undergraduate degree in Business Economics showcases Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s expanding portfolio of study programmes. The extensive curriculum introduces students to the principles of economics with business studies so as to understand the role of businesses within the economy. The degree programme encourages the development of analytical thinking and equips students with techniques to analyse contemporary economic problems in Indonesia. Students will be taught the fundamentals of macro and microeconomic principles, statistics, financial accounting, business management and various approaches to economic modelling. In doing so, graduates of Business and Economics are able to enter multiple industries as they will have an understanding of the economic analysis of business organisations and will have the ability to make critical contribution to business decisions.
English will be used as the language of instruction for this study programme, preparing graduates for the global corporate environment. With Indonesia entering the era of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), there is growing demand for highly-skilled human resources in the field of business and economics. Students from Business Economics will learn how to make strategic decisions with the limited resources available. Coupled with proficiency for the English language, graduates can impact local businesses who wish to form collaborations with international partners and contribute to the country’s competitiveness on the international stage.
