On 10th May 2016, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with a leading Indonesian IT company, Anabatic Technologies. Rector of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya Prof. Djisman Simandjuntak and President Director of Anabatic Technologies Mr Handojo Sutjipto conducted the MOU in a measure to further develop the university’s Software Engineering and Computer Systems Engineering study programmes.
Through this collaboration, Anabatic Technologies will provide guest lecturers to teach enrolled students on the importance of IT infrastructure, information systems, software and hardware, as well as help in the development of a more comprehensive Software Engineering and Computer Engineering curricula. As such, this MOU signing is part of the university’s long-term strategy of engaging in meaningful partnerships with leading industry players so as to produce adept graduates that can contribute to Indonesia’s demand for skilled human capital.
With increasing regional and global competition, the cooperation between businesses and STEM-based education can serve as a catalyst for new innovative products and services. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya thus will continue to form such synergies in its ongoing effort to advance science, technology, engineering and mathematics in Indonesia.
