On 10th October 2017, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya signed an MoU with the Indonesian Branding Institute (IBA), which was held at its BSD campus. Originally initiated by the S1 Branding undergraduate study programme — the first of its kind in Indonesia — the IBA is an association that aims to provide information as well as skilled human resources to assist businesses and companies with their branding and marketing needs. Present at the event was Dean of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s School of Business and Economics Mr Agus Soehadi as well as; CEO of WIR Group & Slingshot Group Mr Daniel Surya; President Director of Unistellar VC Mr Iman Camil; Global Marketing Director of Mayora Group Mr Ricky Afrianto; and Mr Sutan Banuara as Director of Brand Finance Indonesia.
Through this partnership, the university and the IBA will develop strategies that maximise consumer brand loyalty through harnessing digital innovation coupled with creative leadership; essential tools required to compete in the ever-changing world of marketing. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students will also benefit from the first-hand experience available through internships, and the association will also work in further developing the S1 Branding undergraduate curriculum so that graduates will have the practical skills needed to succeed in the industry.
As the use of digital technology becomes an effective way for Indonesian businesses to interact with their highly-diverse and dispersed consumers, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s latest cooperation with the IBA provides opportunities for companies looking to thrive and effectively engage with one of the world’s fastest-growing consumer markets.
