On 29th November 2016, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Adaro Power as a means to further develop its Energy Engineering study programme which took place at the university’s Cilandak campus. This latest collaboration is part of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s efforts in contributing to the improvement of society through the development of renewable energy initiatives. Director of Adaro Power, Mr Adrian Lembong and Rector of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, Prof. Dr. Djisman Simandjuntak as well as Dr. Ida Juda Widjojo as Vice Rector IV of the External Cooperation Department at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya carried out the MOU signing.
Universitas Prasetiya Mulya and Adaro Power will pursue joint research to seek out sustainable and self-sufficient energy solutions such as the development of new technologies in addition to an efficient waste management system for Indonesia’s palm oil industry. Adaro Power will also provide internship programmes for Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s enrolled students as well as industrial visits and guest lecturers for Energy Engineering students; this will enable students to hone in on technical skills that will be supported by a comprehensive curriculum.
Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s partnership with Adaro Power is set to ensure graduates can effectively contribute to Indonesia’s energy needs. By creating important synergies with leading industry players, the university continues to strive in finding solutions that can bring about benefits to local communities and industries and recognise Indonesia’s immense potential in achieving self-reliance in the field of energy.
