The Faculty of Psychology at UBAYA offers a diverse curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Psychology. Indonesia’s rapid economic development and urbanisation has brought to light unaddressed issues related to mental health and well-being among Indonesian citizens. Health is an essential component of Indonesia’s future sustainability. Through UBAYA’s Faculty of Phycology, graduates are helping shape social policies that address mental as well as physical health in the country.
The study programme provides an insight into studying the human mind from a social, clinical and biological perspective and graduates of this study are well positioned to apply the accumulated knowledge of this science to the Indonesian community.
UBAYA’s Faculty of Psychology draws upon its expertise in the field of psychology encompassed within its unsurpassed scientific research and its multi-disciplinary course structure. The psychology degree covers every aspect of human behaviour, from social and developmental psychology through to psychological disorders and neuroscience. The facilities provided at the university enhance students’ learning process such as laboratories designated to the fields of clinical, developmental and social psychology. This further enhances the learning experience for UBAYA students and ultimately produces psychology graduates that contribute to Indonesia’s social, economic and environmental development.
The university’s graduates of psychology are also playing a key role in providing psychological resilience building to Indonesia’s disaster relief policies, as well as trauma interventions and environmental protection over extraction of natural resources. This showcases UBAYA’s continued efforts to play a part in Indonesia’s goal for sustainable development, as the country experiences a greater consumer driven demographic.
