The Faculty of Social and Political Science aims to educate its students on the implementation of effective social science policies that are essential in ensuring and maintaining the functionality of a stable society. The faculty’s focus on research plays a key role in developing social science education as well as producing social scientists that can execute the appropriate social science policies such as the equitable distribution of wealth and ensuring good governance among the different institutions of civil society.
The faculty offers degrees at the undergraduate as well as master’s level, providing degrees in Sociology, Public Administration, Public Policy and Autonomy among others. The comprehensive curriculum is supported by a dedicated professional staff from diverse disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, criminology as well as political science. Moreover, the courses taught at the Faculty of Social and Political Science cover the current dynamics of Indonesia’s political, legal and social institutions and how these establishments respond to the challenges the country faces in the era of globalisation and social change.
Research activities are enforced within the curricula of the study programmes offered. The faculty’s research interests currently engaged in areas that impact Indonesia’s modern day society such as politics and governance, gender equality, criminology as well as international relations.
