On 29th December 2016, Sriwijaya University (UNSRI) successfully obtained an A accreditation as a higher education institution from Indonesia’s National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education. This latest achievement illustrates Sriwijaya University’s concrete efforts in striving to become a world-class university and as such, the university’s A accreditation is poised to make it competitively positioned going forward. Prominent senior-level management members attended a press conference event at Sriwijaya University’s main campus including Rector of Sriwijaya University Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Anis Saggaff, MSCE and Vice Rector I of Sriwijaya University Prof. Ir. Zainuddin Nawawi, Ph.D among others.
As an A-accredited higher education institution, UNSRI has joined the ranks as one of 48 universities in Indonesia who are placed under the same category; UNSRI passed the seven standards that are imposed upon by the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education. Moving forward, UNSRI will seek to realise its vision and mission in addition to further focusing on core aspects that has made it a renowned state university in Indonesia; among these areas of focus include student affairs, human resources, curricula, teaching methods, leadership, and quality standards. In doing so, UNSRI is well-positioned to become a trusted research-based university with key strengths in knowledge and technology.
