In keeping up with the latest developments in the shariah banking industry, BNI Syariah participated in the Islamic Development Bank Expo at the Jakarta Convention Centre on 17th May 2016. The two-day expo, organised by the Association of Shariah banks of Indonesia (ASBISINDO), showcased BNI Syariah’s latest developments within the context of Indonesia’s growing shariah banking sector. The event was attended by financial institutions from more than 50 countries specialising in various aspects of shariah finance such as banking, insurance, savings, and loans.
BNI Syariah during the expo highlighted its collaboration with its parent company, BNI, to optimise its shared business services such as ATMs, EDCs and e-banking. Through this successful synergy, the bank has been able to develop its innovative products and services such as the Hasanah Card, Migrant Card and the Hajj and Umrah Card to accommodate the rising demand for shariah-compliant banking.
The two-day expo highlighted BNI Syariah’s efforts to introduce its concept of becoming a ‘one-stop shop’ bank that will cater to corporate as well as foreign banking transactions. This demonstrates BNI Syariah’s efforts to continuously evolve as the bank plays an increasingly integral role in spurring progress in the Islamic finance sector in Indonesia. This creates an even greater scope for BNI Syariah’s success and stands as testament to the bank’s core values driven by the concept of Hasanah.
