On 13th November 2017, BNI Syariah signed a cooperation agreement with the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), at the Andi Hakim Nasution Building in its Dramaga campus in Bogor. Through this cooperation, BNI Syariah will facilitate the financial transactions of IPB students in paying their tuition fees using the bank’s host-to-host system, providing real-time information for payments. Students will only require showing their Student Registration Number to the bank’s staff and their tuition bill will be displayed. Payment can then be completed in cash or via bank transfer.
Present at the signing ceremony was BNI Syariah’s President Director Mr Abdullah Firman Wibowo, Director of Business at BNI Syariah Ms Dhias Widhiyati, IPB’s Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto M.Sc, and IPB’s Secretary Dr. Ir. Ibnul Qayim. The bank has previously cooperated with IPB in October 2017 when it opened a new branch office on campus. Furthermore, with more than 30,000 registered students and staff, BNI Syariah hopes to provide its wide-ranging banking services and products in addition to increasing its third-party funds — the bank is well-known for initiating cooperation with higher education institutions to bolster knowledge exchange and guide local talents in pursuing a career in Islamic banking.
BNI Syariah’s recent collaboration with IPB is illustrative of the bank’s focus on the use of the latest information technology throughout its business operations. This, therefore, presents BNI Syariah as a modern, forward-thinking bank committed to developing shariah-compliant products that respond to the needs of its increasingly tech-savvy customers.
