On 7th April 2017, BNI Syariah received the Indonesia Digital Brand 2017 award hosted by Transco Research in collaboration with IM Focus. The Indonesia Digital Brand Awards is aimed at showcasing renowned local companies from diverse industries that have a strong online presence in Indonesia. As such, this is BNI Syariah’s second consecutive Indonesia Digital Brand award, demonstrating its optimised use of the digital platform to create a positive online brand image.
BNI Syariah attained this accolade for the shariah savings category which was judged based on the amount of traffic received on search engines and social media outlets — the bank currently has a large following on Facebook and Twitter — and assessed on the ease of obtaining the bank’s public information. As testament to the success of its Hasanah Savings products, BNI Syariah iB Hasanah Saving accounts rose by 27.16% as of December 2016, from the previous year amounting to more than 2 million number of accounts (NoA). With approximately 130 million Indonesians having access to the internet, BNI Syariah's increase in NoA further demonstrates the huge potential of utilising the digital platform as a tool to increase and improve its brand awareness throughout Indonesia and the region.
