On 8th February 2018, BNI Syariah was named the Bronze Winner of the In-house Magazine Award (InMA) 2018 at an event held by the Indonesian News Publishers Association (SPS) in Padang, West Sumatra. The awards aimed to recognise companies and government institutions that have published the most creative and engaging in-house magazines. The accolade was presented by Mr Dahlan Iskan as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the SPS to BNI Syariah’s Senior Manager of the Secretariat and Corporate Communications Division Mr Barno Sudarwanto.
Themed ‘Unlimited Creativity in a Changing Era’, this year’s event featured more than 180 corporations from diverse industries in Indonesia. BNI Syariah won for the third consecutive year for its Hasanah Lifestyle magazine in ‘The Best of Private Company’ category, having been assessed on its creativity, language, content, and overall design. This internal magazine was first published in 2014 and is issued monthly to employees and customers throughout the country, providing useful information such as corporate news, keynote messages from the Directors, products and services, as well as the latest developments on the shariah banking industry in Indonesia; among many others. Furthermore, as of 2018, the magazine is now available online to cater to the bank’s tech-savvy stakeholders.
In winning this award, BNI Syariah has demonstrated its capacity to provide a transparent communication tool through which its senior management members can showcase the bank’s latest business objectives. As such, this is part of the bank's long-term strategy for developing a cohesive company culture, which in-turn, results in greater productivity, efficiency, and a more comprehensive customer service.
