On 29th December 2017, BNI Syariah signed a cooperation agreement with the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia – the country’s highest judicial body – at the Supreme Court building in Jakarta. The cooperation will see the court utilise BNI Syariah's e-Collection service to facilitate the collection of fees and fines. Present at the signing ceremony was BNI Syariah’s Director of Business Ms Dhias Widhiyati and the Supreme Court’s Registrar Mr Made Rawa Aryawan.
BNI Syariah’s e-Collection service will be integrated with a virtual account provided by the bank’s parent company BNI (Persero). This will enable the court to identify and acknowledge payments — in real-time — from the relevant parties involved; resulting in more streamlined court procedures. The e-Collection service is also equipped with the latest in cybersecurity, thus ensuring a safe and reliable gateway to managing these essential financial transactions. Furthermore, the system will help prevent the collection of illegal levies and bribes and assist the court in effectively filtering through individual settlements.
BNI Syariah’s latest collaboration with the Supreme Court demonstrates the bank’s ability to provide greater transactional convenience to important institutions throughout the country. Through the implementation of e-Collection, the Supreme Court will benefit from having greater transparency in handling court payments and therefore positively impact judicial reforms in Indonesia.
