Binabusana Internusa Group (BBI Group) was founded in 1989 to cater to the international export market for garment manufacturing and in 1994, the company began focusing on the domestic market to manufacture for local fashion brands; immense success on the local and international markets enabled the Binabusana Internusa Group to establish six business units namely: Binabusana Internusa Unit Pulogadung for retail in addition to Binabusana Internusa Unit Cakung, Binabusana Internusa Semarang, Apparel One Indonesia Factory 1, Apparel One Indonesia Factory 2, and Kreasindo Adibusana for manufacturing. As a member of the national flagship Triputra Group, Binabusana Internusa has evolved rapidly to offer a comprehensive range of fashion apparel, sportswear and high-performance uniforms for multinational brands as well as private-label clients.
The company’s four business units and manufacturing facilities are strategically located in the cities of Jakarta, Bogor and Semarang. Each production facility boasts cutting-edge machinery, garment laboratory, printing space, sewing and cutting rooms as well as warehousing provisions. Among its list of modern garment manufacturing equipment are automated sewing, spreading, and cutting machines in addition to designated areas for printing and embroideries. Moreover, the company has setup large-scale warehousing units and a garment laboratory that is led by BBI Group's adept R&D division. As such, BBI Group has the capacity to manufacture 30 million pieces annually, manned by over 12,000 highly-skilled staff. Binabusana Internusa Group’s six manufacturing plants (2 factories in Jakarta, 1 factory in Bogor, and 3 factories in Semarang) are advantageously located in the commercial centre of Jakarta, Semarang, and Central Java which offers competitively-priced, skilled labour and easy access to Indonesia’s other major islands. The company is currently expanding its capacity in Semarang to better serve international export clients.
BBI Pulogadung’s branded fashion apparel retail network is spread across 22 dedicated branded outlets and 512 sales counters at selected department stores; this factory also produces uniforms for the Valino Uniform brand that is well-known in the domestic market for its high-quality and durability. This advantage has thus seen Valino Uniform apparel establish a widespread presence amongst government institutions as well as private companies throughout Indonesia. The success of the company’s owned and licensed brands provided the impetus to expand regionally to Malaysia. BBI is now planning to further penetrate the ASEAN region and welcomes new brands that can appeal to the rapidly evolving ASEAN consumer market.
BBI Group's factories – BBI Cakung, BBI Semarang, Apparel One Indonesia, and Kreasindo – have longstanding experience in serving international export clients in a broad array of highly demanding industry sectors that require compliance with uncompromising quality standards. On 15th March 2016, renowned garment manufacturer, Binabusana Internusa opened the second factory under the subisidiary unit Apparel One Indonesia in Central Java, Indonesia. The new factory – situated on 39,000 sq.m. of land and features a modern architectural design – serves as the solution to the increasing demand from its globally-renowned sportswear client, Adidas.
