This country has indeed been affected by an economic downturn during the past couple of years, but it is a condition also experienced throughout the globe. What we can do is carry out internal improvements, such us towards our company’s operational efficiency, as well as our sales and marketing strategies. Overall, my outlook remains positive, especially given President Joko Widodo’s initiative to accelerate the development of the country’s infrastructure. Hydroraya Adhi Perkasa is intensively involved in one of the government’s infrastructure development projects, namely the programme to add 35,000 MW to the country’s electricity generation capacity. We are participating in projects spread in 8 locations throughout the country, including the Bangka Belitung Islands, in addition to the cities of Pontianak in West Kalimantan and Tarakan in North Kalimantan.
We can also expect more projects ranging from power plants, ports, roads, and airports. Hydroraya Adhi Perkasa is poised to further contribute as all these projects will certainly involve construction activities, which in turn will require steel works and supplies. Furthermore, we believe that there is plenty of room to grow seeing that Indonesia’s per capita consumption of steel is still very low.
