Danliris’ Dyeing, Finishing & Printing Division is founded upon an extensive background in batik production and a rich history serving Indonesia’s leading batik retailers. Well versed in the dyeing and bleaching processes needed to create a broad range of dyed fabrics, printed batik and textile motifs, the company has the capacity to manufacture 13.5 million metres of finished fabric every year; Danliris is widely considered to be the industry specialist in producing vibrant colours and intricate patterns.
This reputation for excellence extends to their batik printing division, long considered the most proficient in Indonesia. Now targeting diversification into other fields to maximise the potential of its superior human resources, the company has set about expanding its printing service already operating at a peak production rate of 14.5 million metres per year.
With the introduction of its printed t-shirt brand Blangkonn already well underway, the company expects to invest in other projects that simultaneously open new markets and increase the breadth of its Printing Division. Danliris, through a proposed joint venture with a notable Japanese printing firm, in the near future plans to invest in new printing facilities that will facilitate the introduction of new print products into the Japanese market.
An ongoing drive towards modernizing its manufacturing facilities has already seen Danliris introduce several new automated processes within the finishing and printing division. Foremost among these developments is the recent installation of a VAPO 2008-350m steamer from Italian textile machinery firm Arioli, implemented to further the company’s capabilities in the field of advanced binding processes between reactive dyes and cellulose fibers. Progress in this regard will allow for the use of more high-quality colours in finished fabrics, in addition to ensuring greater product consistency. This investment was carried out in tandem with the introduction of a new rotary printing machine from Stovec Industries Ltd, designed for optimal energy efficiency and precision – two of Danliris’ key strengths.
Moreover, the company undertakes a number of important treatment processes to add distinctive properties to the fabrics. From mercerization — increasing the tensile strength and affinity for dyes — to sanforization — reducing the amount of shrinkage that would otherwise occur after the first wash — applying such processes enable the Dyeing, Finishing & Printing Division to diversify its production capacity into higher-value textiles and thus penetrate various new market segments worldwide.
