From 15th-18th November 2017, ENVIPLAST® participated at the 2017 Plastics & Rubber Indonesia Expo which was held in Jakarta. Attracting more than 12,000 visitors and 500 exhibitors, this international trade show showcased the latest in plastics and rubber technology as well as providing a platform for participants to network and form potential partnerships. Intera Lestari Polimer (previously known as Inter Aneka Lestari Kimia) presented to visitors its wide-range of ENVIPLAST® biodegradable bags and pellets as well as its masterbatch bio-based polymer compound products.
In addition to exhibiting its bio-based products, the company also demonstrated ENVIPLAST®’s blown film technology, capable of producing a variety of bio-based polymer bags which have been utilised as wrapping for electronics, automotive spare parts, and used as furniture covers — conventional plastic bag manufacturers can still use their existing machinery to manufacture eco-friendly products. ENVIPLAST® also presented other applications such as its shopping bags — which has a carrying capacity of 6kg — and highlighted to visitors how its products are fully biodegradable and do not cause harmful microplastics in the environment.
With growing concerns surrounding plastic waste becoming more prominent in Indonesia and abroad, ENVIPLAST® aims to become an important tool for better plastic waste management initiatives. By actively engaging with the business community through events such as the Plastics & Rubber Indonesia Expo, the company can better encourage eco-friendly policies for both the private and public sector, thus providing effective solutions to the global issue of plastic pollution.
