Established in 1972, Nirwana Group is a vertically integrated manufacturer of textiles and garments in Indonesia. The group’s vertical production line encompasses of fabric knitting, fabric dyeing and finishing and garment trading divisions. Furthermore, the vertically integrated operations allow Nirwana Group to maintain highly streamlined supply chains from raw materials to finishing, providing a one-stop solution for local and international brands as well as textile and garment producers. As such, the group’s ability to enhance productivity through skills training and continuous technological upgrades have enabled Nirwana Group to diversify its production into higher value-added garments.
The manufacturing companies in the group offer an array of manufacturing services from knitted garment manufacturing to fabric dyeing and finishing services. Through this measure, Nirwana Group’s product portfolio has continuously expanded to include a comprehensive range of menswear, children’s wear, and sportswear. It is through the group’s commitment to investing in state-of-the-art technology, daily production capacity can reach to more than 100 tonnes of textiles per day and 600,000 pieces (pcs) of garments per month. Success in this regard coupled with the implementation of stringent quality control such as the 4-point inspection system and the mercerisation of viscose fabrics— a process no other local textile and garment manufacturer adheres to in Indonesia — has established Nirwana Group as a trusted manufacturer for local and international textile and garment producers.
Nirwana Group’s vertically integrated operations give the group greater access to production inputs, distribution resources, and retail channels. The group’s vertical integration thus is the foundation of its specialised garment manufacturing services and product differentiation which is a source of competitive advantage – Nirwana Group utilises a wide range of fabric types from cotton, viscose, polyester, to different blends with future plans to expand into the development of functional fabrics.
Through this, Nirwana Group is able to provide private label manufacturing services for major brands — Nirwana Group is engaged in a long-term partnership with the H&M clothing line — as well as local and international textile and garment producers. As such, this service also provides the group with the necessary platform to react to the changing needs of its clients which is an important aspect for the group’s clients since the fashion apparel industry is characterised by fast-paced fashion cycles and intense industry competition.
