On 30th January 2019, Shinta Indah Jaya held a groundbreaking ceremony in the regency of Indramayu to mark the commencement of the construction of its new factory. The project, slated to be completed by the end of 2019 and fully operational by early 2020, marks an important step in the development plans for Shinta Indah Jaya’s future.
The groundbreaking ceremony was initiated in the presence of the Regent of Indramayu Mr Supendi. Also present at the event was President Commissioner of Shinta Indah Jaya Ms Stacey Hermijanto; President Director Mr Tan Chee Weng; Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office; Head of the One Stop Integrated and Investment Service; Head of the Environmental Agency; Military Commander for the Gantar region; Gantar Police Chief; Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency; and Head of the District Manpower Office of Indramayu, among many others.
In his speech, President Director Mr Tan highlighted how Ms Stacey chose the 30th of January for the groundbreaking event in loving remembrance and honour of her late father, Mr Toto Hermijanto, who was born on that date. He then went on to elaborate on the history of the company, and that, through its strong corporate values of honesty, reliability and integrity combined with a focus on quality, Shinta Indah Jaya has garnered a reputation for being the leading manufacturer of quality fabrics in Indonesia. As such, to continue on its growth trajectory, the company will focus on improving productivity through the modernization of its machinery in addition to increasing production capacity.
Furthermore, Mr Tan reiterated that through Shinta Indah Jaya’s new factory, the company aims to be a catalyst for economic growth in the region and a provider of sustainable jobs for the local population. As a responsible corporate entity, Shinta Indah Jaya will also ensure that initiatives are carried out on a continuous basis to positively impact employees and the Indramayu community at large. It is, after all, Shinta Indah Jaya’s mission to “constantly grow and evolve as a team in a continued effort to improve not just its own systems and operations but to also empower and improve the lives of its employees and be a blessing to them, their families and the communities around them.”
The event was closed with Shinta Indah Jaya making a generous donation to an orphanage in Indramayu.
