“ We have noticed changes in the country’s labour force where Indonesian workers have become increasingly diligent compared to years past. ”
We would like to become a 'one stop shop' for construction companies and as such we make available an all-encompassing product portfolio; among these are 20,000 individual items including pipes, concrete, glass, steel bars, and accessories. Our company aims to provide convenience to EPC companies thus Paradise Perkasa offers the building materials and professional engineering services which include the obtainment of requested documentation. Paradise Perkasa is committed to upholding stringent quality standards and we can assure that companies will be more cost-efficient and operate more effectively by using our products as well as services. Furthermore, we would like to ensure that companies are able to complete their projects on time.
Since 2002, Paradise Perkasa has been ISO-certified therefore we are encouraged to maintain our quality standards. In this regard, we regularly carry out audits to our vendors to make sure that they comply with the necessary standards that are upheld at Paradise Perkasa. We established a quality control division at our company that manages the entire process of product inspection until the delivery of goods to our customers.
In terms of international outreach, we have a subsidiary unit based in Singapore that is responsible for export-related inquiries and we began exporting our products to the UAE, Thailand, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines in 2008.
We continue to explore various ways to satisfy our customers and meet their needs which keep us at the helm of innovation plans. This is illustrated through our corporate strategy where we guarantee a minimum of 20 new products every year are added to our existing product portfolio – which is a measure that was implemented in 2010.
In addition, one of our initiatives is to continue improving upon our IT infrastructure which will, in turn, deliver greater convenience to the customer as well as our company. Our Business Excellence unit oversees the company’s business processes and the division is responsible for making sure that we remain productive, efficient, and swift in our delivery.
Customer satisfaction is our main priority and this has become the foundation for our daily operations. We view our human resources as the company’s main capital hence we work hard to take care of our staff members. This is carried out through regular training programmes in an effort to remain at the forefront of the rapidly evolving industry. In doing so, we are confident that our employees will remain with us for the long-term while also motivating them to achieve the company’s goal.
Most recently we have noticed that businesses in Indonesia are starting to rebound given the large numbers of upcoming projects in 2017. As a company, we are optimistic about our growth prospects in 2017 – 2018, however we are uncertain on the outcome for the 2019 year because it will be the presidential election year. We are even more confident of Indonesia in the medium-term as the coming five to ten years looks promising.
At the moment, I believe the government has undertaken enough measures to support businesses in Indonesia. With the opportunities that have been presented to the business community, it is a matter on how industry leaders can take advantage of this opportune time to bolster their company’s growth. Nevertheless, obstacles remain such as the lead time in obtaining licenses even though this has greatly improved in comparison to five years ago.
Our company is well-prepared to increase our role in the AEC which is reflected through our human capital. By having a highly-adept team, Paradise Perkasa is ready for the AEC. Moreover, we have noticed recent changes in the country’s labour force where Indonesian workers have become increasingly diligent compared to years past. Coupled with the government’s efforts to curb the country’s high logistics cost, we hope that Indonesia is able to remain competitive in the region and be similarly positioned to that of Singapore.
We are open to partnering with overseas firms who would like to invest in Indonesia for the long-term. In this era of globalisation, Paradise Perkasa understands the importance of cooperating with local and international investors in order to achieve stellar growth. Partnership opportunities are our company’s focus in terms of prospective synergies for the immediate future.
Our customers are the heart of Paradise Perkasa thus we will continue to provide them with the utmost service standards and high levels of professionalism. By implementing this principle, we are optimistic that they will remain loyal to our company thus helping to maintain the company’s growth. In addition, we would like consumers to recognise our tagline of “remember construction materials, remember Paradise Perkasa.”
