DFI Logistics was founded in 1994 in Bali and subsequently also set up operations in the cities of Yogyakarta and Surabaya in 1997 and 1998 respectively. In the following years, we further expanded our network of branches to the cities of Semarang and Bandung, as well as made the decision to move our headquarters to Jakarta. Our eventual presence in Jakarta was due to already having an extensive operation in regions close to the capital, thus entering the Jakarta market was the next viable move for expansion. In terms of future plans as part of this company’s growth strategy, we are aiming to carry out the initial public offering of our stock within the next three to four years. To realise this plan, we have enlisted the help of management and IPO consultants as well as took steps to make sure that our human resources are made up of highly productive individuals.
DFI Logistics currently has three departments; freight forwarding, project cargo, and logistics. The project cargo business in particular is a highly prospective one given the government’s ongoing effort to develop the country’s infrastructure, such as by building power plants and toll roads. On the other hand, the growing demand for logistics services pertaining to supply chain management has seen us build a portfolio of 60-70 corporate clients which include IKEA and Wings Group, as well as local leading convenience store chains. In terms of performance, our company succeeded in recording a revenue increase of approximately 40% compared to last year.
