Optik Internasional Group is certainly open towards collaborating with foreign partners provided that the cooperation is mutually advantageous. It does not necessarily have to do with capital contribution as we are already strong in this domain as it is. We are, however, keen on engaging with foreign suppliers; particularly brands willing to appoint us as their exclusive retailer for the Indonesian market. We are also interested in knowledge-sharing cooperation such as international training programmes for optometry professionals in order to enhance the capacity of our specialists. Indonesia's challenge is improving the quality of its human resources in regards to their education and discipline. We try to overcome this through our own in-house training initiatives. As a company, Optik Internasional Group’s corporate culture is to make effective use of time, to work efficiently, and to maintain a high level of quality and performance at all times. This applies to all of our employees without exception.
On a separate note, Optik Internasional Group has yet to have the capabilities to manufacture and export products; this is a domain we are seriously giving thought to. We are interested in partnering with investors seeking to set up a manufacturing operation in Indonesia from which the output can be exported worldwide. We are ready for this type of cooperation; for instance, to be able to produce lenses of internationl standards as we already have our own laboratory for conducting research and development. Among the various prospective arrangements, we can provide the land and the machinery while a foreign firm can provide the international export network as well as the management and technical expertise for meeting the industry standards in regions such as Europe and North America.
