The Faculty of Economics at Tarumanagara University offers bachelor degree programs in two disciplines: Accounting and Management. As two of the most popular courses of study at the university, both the Accounting and Management programs benefit from a thoroughly experienced faculty that dates back to Tarumanagara University’s establishment in 1959.
The Management program in particular was among the first organized by the university in the form of an undergraduate degree in Business Economics. This ‘A’ accredited major hones in on Tarumanagara’s strength in creating entrepreneurial-minded graduates via a flexible curriculum that facilitates a learning experience tailored to individual student needs and interests.
In addition to a faculty offering both industry experience and a keen understanding of business theory, Tarumanagara University initiates partnerships to provide students with unrivalled access to facilities such as an on-campus stock exchange corner. The Faculty of Economics also works with leading companies from the banking, insurance, trading and retail sector for research, case study analysis and recruitment opportunities. The Accounting program, founded in 1973, is also ‘A’ accredited and makes available concentrations in Auditing and Taxation. Through this four-year, full time degree students are expected to develop capabilities well suited for careers at The Big Four accounting firms: Ernst & Young, Deloitte, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Direct cooperation with these multinationals through internship programs and on-campus recruitment ensures a seamless transition for graduates into the workplace. UNTAR also collaborates with local and international accounting associations such as IAI Indonesia, CPA Australia, ACCA UK and CIMA UK to provide students with the opportunity to obtain certifications that complement the attainment of a bachelors degree.
