Chitose | Chitose Hosts Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Flagship Store

On 25th February 2016, Chitose hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for its Pavillion 14 store that is set to become the company’s flagship outlet store in Surabaya. The Pavillion 14 project – scheduled to begin operations in November 2016 – is Chitose’s latest strategy to strengthen its market presence in the eastern region of Indonesia. Vice President of Chitose, Mr Timotius J Paulus as well as Chitose’s Director of Finance and Administration, Mr Fadjar Swatyas participated in the ceremonial processions which took place in the vicinity of the upcoming Pavillion 14 store – situated in the Rungkut Asri area.

As a leading local company renowned amongst the business community for its wide-range of high-quality office furniture, Chitose is aiming to diversify its market share by tapping into Indonesia’s robust retail market; this measure is in keeping with corporate plans to increase its current 10% retail contribution. As such, the Pavillion 14 store will showcase 300 Chitose products as well as feature a meeting room that will be designed by a team of skilled interior designers as well as architects. In order to enhance the shopping experience, Chitose will also provide an information centre at its Pavillion 14 store that will enable customers to better understand the company’s extensive furniture products.

Through its Pavillion 14 project, Chitose is well poised to establish a far-reaching presence in Indonesia’s retail market.
