In keeping with its commitment to furthering the capabilities of Indonesia’s next generation of business leaders, Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills on 24th April 2015 sponsored the Purpose Driven Business Seminar in Bandung. Held at the Clarity Hotel in the Cihampelas district, the event featured keynote speeches from Mr Alexander Foe, President Director of Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills, and Mr Alex F Santoso, CEO of Nirwana Group, as two entrepreneurs dedicated to ensuring that their businesses have a positive social impact. Participants of the seminar filled the Clarity Hotel’s Diamond Ballroom and were also provided with the opportunity to participate in a lively question and answer session.

Enthusiastic to lead a new wave of young entrepreneurs, Mr Foe shared his expertise on running a successful business with a focus that extends beyond generating profits and encourages widespread social well-being. In discussing this topic, Mr Foe sought to showcase the potential of purpose-driven business as a concept adopted by companies around the world with the goal of integrating a social mission as part of their corporate philosophy. The seminar first and foremost aimed to raise understanding among local entrepreneurs that by giving a worthy purpose to daily business operations, corporate leaders are able to carry out commercial activities while simultaneously making a substantial social impact.
