Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills in late August 2015 marked the successful launch of a new scholarship programme demonstrative of the company’s support for its human resources. Through this programme, Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills will cover the educational costs for the children of employees who have demonstrated high levels of academic achievement, and thereby play an important role in encouraging the attainment of knowledge and skills within the local community.

To signify the start of the new scholarship programme, Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills hosted an event at its office in Bandung, West Java in which employees were provided with the scholarship funds. In total, the company disbursed 98 million IDR to 37 students currently attending school at the elementary, junior high or high school level. Presenting the scholarship funds on behalf of Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills’ Board of Directors were Mr Agustinus Foe as Director of Business Development and Mr Hendrik Winata as Director of Operations. As confirmed by Ms Vera Foe as Director of HR, Systems & Quality Management, the company intends to carry out this initiative on an annual basis to strengthen its standing as a business committed to contributing to social well-being and encouraging a higher quality of life through education.
