Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills | Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills Partners with Parahyangan Catholic University
14.09.2015

Leading local textile manufacturer Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills launched its latest CSR initiative by partnering with one of Bandung’s most prominent private universities, Parahyangan Catholic University (also known as ‘Unpar’). The long-term partnership will see the company cooperate with Unpar’s Business Administration study programme to provide support to students with a passion for entrepreneurship through the creation of a course curriculum and modules that encourage creativity and innovation in developing business plans. Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills will also invite groups of students to visit its modern manufacturing facilities also located in the Bandung area.

Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills commenced the first of many activities set to take place through this partnership by having its President Director, Mr Alexander Foe, feature as a guest speaker during the “Business Opportunities Regarding to Internal and External Business Environment Analysis” class on 14th September 2015 at the Audio Visual Room of the faculty building. The class highlighted the different types of obstacles faced by companies in Indonesia – such as challenging macroeconomic factors – and how to adapt to a new business climate in pursuing entrepreneurial ventures.

Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills’ success in navigating Indonesia’s dynamic business environment places it in the ideal position to cooperate with Unpar’s sole business-oriented study programme. Understanding the need to hone high levels of soft and hard skills, Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills’ industry insights will shape the foundation of the entrepreneurship programme curriculum at Unpar thus helping to develop the country’s future business leaders. Moreover, the company’s recent partnership with Unpar is demonstrative of its firm support for high-quality education (See Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills Creates New Scholarship Programme) as well as its ongoing efforts to lead a new wave of social entrepreneurs (See Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills Leads a Wave of New Social Entrepreneurs).
