Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills in September 2015 was officially named a recipient of funds disbursed by Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry as part of an ongoing Textile Machinery Revitalization program being carried out to spur investment in modern manufacturing technology. Through this program, the government intends to allocate a total of 100 billion IDR from its 2015 budget to local textile manufacturers as a means of supporting a push towards greater efficiency and value added production within this key industry. Fund recipients are selected on the basis of criteria including the company’s previous track record with regards to the consistent installation of new machinery.

Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills’ longstanding commitment to continued investment in state-of-the-art technology – which last year saw the company spend more than $1 million USD on new machines – served as the foundation for its successful application to participate in the Textile Machinery Revitalization program. The company stands to receive 1.627 billion IDR from the Ministry of Industry, and as such is well-positioned to move forward with plans to upgrade its textile production facilities.
