Kamadjaja Logistics | President Director of Kamadjaja Logistics Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
18.02.2014

On 18th February 2014, Mr Hura Kamadjaja, Founder and President Director of Kamadjaja Logistics, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Indonesian Logistics Association (ALI) in recognition of his significant contribution to the advancement of Indonesia’s logistics sector. Held in Hotel Borobudur in Jakarta, the prestigious event was attended by a host of notable figures including Mr Hatta Rajasa, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, and Mr Zaldy Ilham Masita, Chairman of the Indonesian Logistics Association, who together presented the evening’s awards.

In his speech, Mr Rajasa conveyed his hope that entrepreneurs in the field of logistics would continue to work together to become the backbone of Indonesia’s economic activity spanning from Sabang to Merauke. Full of praise for the instrumental role that Kamadjaja Logistics has played in developing this key sector, Mr Rajasa was met with an enthusiastic round of applause when he touched upon the company’s leading position that extends beyond Indonesia and into Southeast Asia.

Mr Kamadjaja expressed immense appreciation for the distinction bestowed upon him, explaining that winning the award was particularly gratifying given that he founded Kamadjaja Logistics from the ground up and with very little capital to begin with.

“Through honesty and hard work, Kamadjaja Logistics has developed into a prominent logistics company capable of competing at the same level as international companies,” said Mr Kamadjaja, reflecting upon the progress of his business since its establishment in 1968. Mr Kamadjaja also took the opportunity to voice his pride in his three children, who he firmly believes are poised to further Kamadjaja Logistics' growth and expansion.

The company presently oversees the largest delivery network in Indonesia, with more than 355 destinations served by 22 distribution centres located across Sumatra, Java, Bali, Kalimantan and Sulawesi – an achievement soon to be formally recognised by the Indonesian Museum of Records (MURI).
