ENVIPLAST® | ENVIPLAST® Featured at Trade Expo Indonesia 2015
21.10.2015

Affirming its position as an Indonesian company poised for success in international markets, ENVIPLAST® on 21st October 2015 marked the start of its participation at Trade Expo Indonesia 2015 – the country’s largest trade show set to attract more than 14,000 buyers from 118 countries over the course of five days. In taking advantage of this opportunity to interact with prospective clients from around the world, ENVIPLAST® at its prominently-located booth in Hall A of JIExpo Kemayoran showcased the company’s extensive collection of eco-friendly alternatives to plastic including its innovative bio-based polymer compound pellets, film and finished products. As a business commended for its efforts to represent modern Indonesian manufacturing on the global stage through the export of environmentally responsible goods, ENVIPLAST® was also selected to be featured at the Pride of Indonesia Pavillion – a section of the expo reserved for only a handful of distinguished local brands.

Trade Expo Indonesia 2015 as the 30th instalment of this marquee event was formally opened by President Joko Widodo during a ceremony held in a hall adjoining the main exhibition area. As testament to the event’s high profile, the ceremony was attended by esteemed guests including several cabinet members, ambassadors, trade delegations and notable figures from the business community. In delivering his keynote remarks, Trade Minister Mr Thomas Lembong touched upon the importance of Trade Expo Indonesia 2015 in spurring local businesses to further their presence abroad. Mr Lembong specifically referenced the need for Indonesian companies to increase exports to non-traditional markets; a feat that has been achieved by ENVIPLAST® through its entry into countries in Africa.

Speaking to GBG Indonesia during Trade Expo Indonesia 2015, Mr Herman Moeliana as President Director of Inter Aneka Lestari Kimia (the manufacturing firm behind ENVIPLAST®) discussed his company’s goal of using the event to introduce ENVIPLAST® to as many markets as possible so as to promote wide-spread environmental sustainability. ENVIPLAST® is particularly focused on the many developing markets around the world presently struggling with plastic pollution. “We are seeing a lot of interest from companies in smaller countries such as Bangladesh and several markets in Africa and the Middle East, which aim to produce eco-friendly bags for domestic use as well as to export to neighbouring developed countries,” explained Mr Moeliana, before going on to mention that for these countries, investing in ENVIPLAST®’s products will prove to be more cost-effective in the long-term when compared to costs associated with managing plastic waste.

ENVIPLAST® intends to build upon the positive reaction to its booth on the first day of Trade Expo 2015 by continuing to actively engage with buyers as well as members of the general public interested in learning more about green technology and eco-friendly alternatives to plastic. Trade Expo 2015 is set to conclude on Sunday, 25th October 2015.
