On 11th January 2014, Trilogi University held its first graduation ceremony since making its official transformation from STEKPI School of Business & Management. Attended by the current Chairman of the Jakarta branch of the Indonesian Education Development Foundation (YPPIJ) Dr. (HC) Drs. Subiakto Tjakrawerdaja as well as Professor Dr. Ilza Mayuni, a distinguished representative of the Ministry of Education and Culture; the event celebrated the successful matriculation of over 220 students from a number of different courses of study. Graduates included students from Trilogi’s Accounting Bachelor Degree program, Management program at both the Masters and Bachelor Degree level, and Finance and Banking Diploma program.

In his speech at the graduation ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Asep Saefuddin voiced his belief in the ability of Trilogi University’s graduates to take upon the challenge of pursuing careers that empower fellow Indonesian citizens. Moreover, Dr. Saefuddin called upon the graduating class to use experiences gained from their time on campus to embark upon career paths dedicated to Indonesia’s continued economic and social advancement. Dr. Saefuddin also elaborated upon recent developments at Trilogi University that will serve present and future graduating classes well in filling the gaps in Indonesia’s human resources, such as the implementation of three institutional pillars: Teknopreneurship, Collaboration and Independence.

The event, held at the university’s campus in Kalibata, Jakarta, also featured an award ceremony in which Trilogi University formally expressed their appreciation towards individuals, groups and organisations that have made significant contributions to their field. Trilogi Awards were presented to leaders in five different categories, namely Tourism & Creative Economy, Innovation, Local Governance, Entrepreneurship and Creative Arts. In keeping with the graduation ceremony’s upbeat and jovial atmosphere, famous Indonesian rock band, Slank, were recognised for their work in promoting the creative arts amongst Indonesians of all ages and performed for the graduates and attendees prior to the event’s closing.
