Perbanas Institute recently forged a partnership with Malaysia’s leading SEGi College Subang Jaya that will focus on curriculum development, academic resources, and student activities. The memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed by Rector of Perbanas Institute, Prof. Dr. Ir. Marsudi Wahyu Kisworo as well as Senior Principal of SEGi College Subang Jaya, Dr. Lisa Tan Saw Poh on 23rd February 2017 at Perbanas Institute’s Unit V building in Jakarta. As one of Indonesia’s premier banking, finance, and information technology (IT) higher education institutions, Perbanas Institute has established ties with SEGi College Subang Jaya that is renowned for its business, accounting and finance, and IT courses. By cooperating on areas of said synergies, Perbanas Institute is set to further equip its students with resources and knowledge that are beneficial to the growth of the industry.
As the latest measure to better engage with trusted international universities, Perbanas Institute, through the MOU, will initiate programmes related to cutting-edge research, journal publications, seminars and conferences in addition to student and faculty exchange programmes among other areas. In doing so, Perbanas Institute is seeking to develop its students’ academic knowledge and soft skills so as to produce highly-adept graduates. Moreover, by upholding the principle of technology transfer, Perbanas Institute is aiming to equip its faculty members with newfound insights related to banking and finance in order to bring about concrete change to the sector.
