This four-year, full time degree takes a practical business approach to the essential commercial ingredient of branding and marketing; crucial to establishing a new business and maintaining the edge of an existing one. This course focuses on developing the creative and adaptive thought processes needed for a career in the dynamic, fast paced world of global marketing.
In the first year students build up their knowledge base in the classroom and then have the opportunity to see the practical application through a compulsory internship programme. An in-depth understanding of customer behaviour and market insights are gained through project collaboration with industry partners. Within the second year of the course, further marketing knowledge is taught and students put their acquired skills to use by being assigned to a real marketing project with a selected company that tests them in everyday business situations, especially in the fields of marketing research and product/service innovation. In the third year, students make their choice of majors and elective options. Collaboration is encouraged among students of different disciplines through joint projects with S1 Business students on marketing consultancy. In the fourth year, students are given the choice of a marketing internship project or research for their final task.
The renewed focus of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya is tailored to equip its students of the undergraduate Branding programme with solutions to industry-related issues by undertaking more business projects.
