In responding to an ever-evolving business landscape where complexity continues to reach new heights, Prasetiya Mulya Business School (PMBS) has introduced a new cutting-edge curriculum for its Master of Management (MM) programme to prepare its graduates for contemporary business scenarios. The increasing uncertainty that has come to impact today’s business climate prompted the business school to tap into its reputation as a pioneer and incorporate extensive learning materials aimed at nurturing its students’ skills in designing innovation-oriented business models.
PMBS’ Director of Graduate Programmes, Mr Franky Supriyadi, Ph.D., in his statement on the curriculum enhancement said that the new curriculum is geared towards meeting future industry needs. Mr Supriyadi explained that PMBS’ MM graduates will come equipped with four main competencies; an accurate understanding of a complex and uncertain business environment, skills in designing an innovative and relevant business, skills in ensuring sustainable business growth, and skills in managing a company in accordance with trends associated with the economic cycle. Meanwhile, Prof. Djoko Wintoro, Ph.D., as the Dean of PMBS highlighted the country’s need to transform old-fashioned businesses into modern companies driven by innovation. In that respect, he said, PMBS hopes to be responsible for producing the business leaders needed to bring about this change.
With the new curriculum, PMBS becomes the first business school in Indonesia to implement this approach. This is in keeping with the institution’s objective of producing future business leaders oriented towards innovation, accurate business planning and strategizing, and multidisciplinary collaboration. “Introducing this new paradigm is certainly a considerable challenge for Prasetiya Mulya Business School. However, establishing ourselves as a pioneer is important for us as an institution of higher education,” Mr Supriyadi closed.
