On 15th December 2016, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya hosted a graduation ceremony for its latest batch of graduates from the Economics undergraduate study programme as well as the Master of Management study programme. The event was held at the Indonesia Convention Centre in Tangerang and it is hoped that the recent graduates of the university can contribute to the advancement of Indonesia’s business climate through entrepreneurship, integrity, professionalism and innovation.
Prominent attendees at this year’s graduation ceremony included Chairman of Prasetiya Mulya Foundation Mr Prasasto Sudyatmiko, S.H. and Prof. Agus W. Soehadi Ph.D as Dean of the School of Business. The event also featured Ms Putu Pujogiri as Secretary of Indonesia’s Higher Education Coordinating Board Region III, who encouraged the graduates to take advantage of their new skillset to strive for success. Furthermore, the ceremony sought to showcase non-academic in addition to academic achievements of the university’s graduates — Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students recently won the SCB Future Leader Challenge competition amongst an array of other business and technology-based competitions.
Amongst the 768 graduates, the university highlighted the academic achievements of Ms Clarine Pranata, a student from the Finance and Banking study programme who obtained a GPA of 3.99. As such, this year saw an increase in the number of graduates attaining undergraduate and master degrees as well as a rise in the number of students achieving a GPA of above 3.90. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s latest graduation ceremony demonstrates the high-calibre graduates the university produces who are ready to make an impact to Indonesian businesses and economy.
