On 15th March 2016, renowned garment manufacturer, Binabusana Internusa opened the second factory under the subisidiary unit Apparel One Indonesia in Central Java, Indonesia. The new factory – situated on 39,000 sq.m. of land and features a modern architectural design – serves as the solution to the increasing demand from its globally-renowned sportswear client, Adidas. The official ceremony was attended by esteemed industry leaders including President Director of Triputra Group Mr Teddy Rachmat, Mr John McNamara as Head of Global Sourcing at Adidas, and Mr Azhar Lubis as Deputy Chairman of Indonesia’s Investment Coordinating Board in addition to BBI’s shareholders, business partners, buyers, and local government officials.
During the event, guests were provided a factory tour hence gained a first-hand experience on the factory’s state-of-the-art facilities. Apparel One Indonesia’s recently-opened production facility features a specialised training area for sewing, printing area as well as manufacturing divisions which utilises the latest technology. The creation of this highly-streamlined factory operation will therefore enable BBI’s Apparel One Indonesia to manufacture a higher volume of sportswear apparel in order to cater to high demand of said product type. Furthermore, BBI incorporated an eco-friendly concept in the design of the factory as evident through the company’s 'green' office space; this measure is in keeping with BBI’s tailored plans to establish a factory that appeals to the ‘Generation Y’.
