“ We see significant growth taking place for Indonesia should the country become a TPP member as well as when it decides to also become a member of a free trade agreement with European nations. ”
We have invested in the company’s research and development division and in doing so we strive to offer innovative products for our current as well as prospective partners. Pan Brothers recognises the importance of product innovation as a central pillar to our future growth strategy, hence we aim to continue upholding this principle within our ongoing corporate initiatives. By further developing our R&D division, we are also striving to discover new production techniques to complement our present business operations. Moreover, heavy investment within our R&D department will also enable to us to remain competitive while also adapting to the dynamic demands from leading local and international fashion brands.
Therefore to maximise our capacity as a well-regarded garment manufacturer, we have also added state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment within our factories. This measure ensures a streamlined supply chain in addition to equipping us with the ability to manufacture products in higher volumes and quantities. It is in our view that by developing upon our already advanced production processes coupled with continuous improvements in our R&D department, Pan Brothers Tbk will be better positioned to take advantage of new opportunities ahead.
We remain optimistic in the growth prospects of the textiles and garment industry; particularly for the next three years. The Indonesian government has shown their support towards our industry through various efforts including offering tax allowances for labour-intensive sectors. Furthermore, the government has also stated their commitment in partaking in regional and global free trade agreements that will aim to benefit our sector.
We are also expecting an increase in demand from global fashion brands as well as local apparel brands in 2016 – 2017. International brands have started aggressively expanding into ASEAN for garment manufacturing whilst local companies are looking to increase the production rate as Indonesian companies seek to take advantage of the AEC. As such, we remain confident that this upward trajectory will sustain until 2018.
