The company was established in 1990 with only eight employees and currently has a workforce of close to 14,000 employees. Our distribution network today consists of 5,000 service points, allowing us to handle some 12 million shipments per month. We have experienced growth by 40% year-on-year and we attribute this to the increasing use of e-commerce in recent years. Due to our extensive operational network, we are able to serve our customers across some of the most remote areas of Indonesia. This is important as we often deliver daily essentials to these communities. As testament to our network in Indonesia, we were recently awarded a project from the Ministry of Health for the distribution of individual health cards nationwide; only our company and the post office were awarded this project.
Moving forward, we are looking to expand our business in order to increase our capacity and enhance our services. The majority of the shipments that we handle are currently manually processed and are thus relatively labour-intensive. However within the next two years, we are aiming to build a mega sorting hub near the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. This 20,000 square metres facility will feature an automation and sortation system which can process up to 10,000 parcels per hour. This will assist in improving our productivity, efficiency and quality. Furthermore, we are also looking to invest in a new and modern operating system for our express services within the next 24 months. This system can be utilised from mobile devices and provide real time tracking and accurate tracking services for all our customers. Lastly we will continue to expand our network across Indonesia and develop upon our existing facilities to ensure an improved customer experience.
