On 23rd February 2018, Sarinah signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indonesian state-owned (SOE) bus company, Perum DAMRI, at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises in Jakarta. Through this cooperation, Sarinah will supply uniforms for DAMRI’s office employees and airport bus drivers and thus help to promote a clean, safe, and positive image for the transportation company. The MoU was signed by Sarinah’s President Director Mr GNP Sugiarta Yasa and DAMRI’s President Director Ms Milatia Mumin and was witnessed by the Deputy of Business Sector Construction and Transportation Infrastructure Mr Ahmad Bambang.
DAMRI has been operating in Indonesia since 1946, providing land transportation for people and cargo to and from key airports and cities. Furthermore, as of 2017, DAMRI now offers direct bus services to selected hotels in the Greater Jakarta area, increasing convenience for residents as well as tourists. As such, in keeping with its continuing transition into a modern bus service operator, its new uniforms from Sarinah will be both comfortable and functional, with designs that deliver a more contemporary look to the wearer.
Sarinah's recent partnership is part of the company's ongoing support for the Indonesian government’s initiative to increase synergy between SOE’s. This strategy is aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of their operations and realise the full potential of SOE ’s as major contributors to the country’s economic development.
