Perbanas Institute on 1st December 2015 hosted a public lecture class for its postgraduate students on the topic of ‘Digital Transformation and its Impact on Indonesia’s Financial Services Industry’. The event was attended by Rector of Perbanas Institute Prof. Dr. Ir. Marsudi Wahyu Kisworo, Dean of the Perbanas Postgraduate School, Dr. Umbas Krisnanto in addition to Mr Cyrus Daruwala, Managing Director of IDC Financial Insight as guest speaker. The provision of the general lecture class is in keeping with Perbanas Institute’s measures to engage with prominent organisations as well as to strengthen the institution’s international presence.
As the Indonesian banking sector becomes increasingly tech-savvy, Perbanas through its public lecture class aimed to provide insights on how to maximise the use of technology given Indonesia’s rising demand for digital financial services. By providing direct insights from leading experts, it is hoped that attendees will be able to incorporate the use of technology to develop upon banking products and services that can bring about improvements in efficiency and performance. Success in this regard illustrates Perbanas Institute’s longstanding emphasis on innovation and upper-hand in the education industry that has led the institution to produce some of the country’s most sought-after graduates. Perbanas Institute is set to continue hosting additional public lecture sessions that are highly-relevant to the finance industry thereby equipping its students with the highest level of skills and knowledge.
