Mrs Lenny Sunaryo received her Bachelor’s degree from Concordia University, Canada, her Master’s degree from Prasetiya Mulya School of Business and Economics and her Masters of Commerce as well as her Ph.D from the University of Otago, New Zealand. Mrs Sunaryo has authored numerous conference papers with a focus on Chinese business practices and Asian organisation studies as well as cultures.
Mr Deddi Tedjakumara received his bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Parahyangan Catholic University and his master's in Management from Prasetiya Mulya School of Business and Economics. Mr Tedjakumara’s areas of research focus are performance management and non-profit management while his current teaching subjects are Managerial Accounting, Corporate Finance and Valuation.
Professor Agus W. Soehadi PhD attended the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB), Bogor, Indonesia followed by the Bandung Institute of Technology, Bandung, Indonesia and the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, UK for his PhD. Professor Soehadi currently teaches marketing at Prasetiya Mulya School of Business and Economics as well as contributing to the Doctoral Program at the University of Indonesia and IPB. His expertise covers strategic marketing, brand management, retail marketing, marketing research, community marketing and entrepreneurship. Professor Soehadi sits on the board for Internationally Accepted Marketing Standards and is the co-founder of the Indonesia Consumunity Expo. He has authored various research papers on the subject of marketing which have been published in national and international accredited scientific journals.
Professor Janson Naiborhu obtained his doctorate degree from Keio University in Japan as well as the Bandung Institute of Technology. He is a well-regarded figure in the industry with extensive knowledge in the field of Mathematics. Professor Janson is actively involved in research and has published numerous journals in local and international media.
Mr Franky Supriyadi earned his MBA degree as well as his Ph.D in Strategic Management from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to taking on the role of Director of Applied STEM Academic Affairs, Mr Franky served as a chief engineer and manager at a multinational petrochemical company in Indonesia. Mr Franky is also an active member in Indonesia’s higher education sector; furthermore, Mr Franky specialises in a range of fields including business competition, growth, and sustainability.
Dr Eka Ardianto has recently been appointed the position of Director of Applied STEM Admissions in 2016. He previously served as the Associate Dean for Customer, Student, and Alumni Relations at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya. Dr Eka has published a number of academic journals as well as academic literature. Dr Eka specialises in the fields marketing research, relationship marketing, consumer behaviour, and brand management.
Prof. Dr. Djisman Simandjuntak has been the Rector for Universitas Prasetiya Mulya since March 2016. He started his career at Prasetiya Mulya in 1984 and is one of the university’s prominent lecturers today. Prof. Dhisman obtained a master’s degree in Monetary Economics and Public Finance as well as a doctorate degree in Trade from the University of Cologne in Germany. In 1971, he began his tenure at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Jakarta and has since become the Chairman of the Executive Board at the organisation. Furthermore, Prof. Djisman is a respected economist in Indonesia renowned for his wealth of knowledge on the country’s business and economy.
Prof. Yudi Samyudia is the newly-appointed Vice Rector at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya. He obtained a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland in 1996. Prof. Yudi actively undertakes academic research roles, and is also a respected figure in Indonesia's higher education sector. Prior to joining Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, Prof. Yudi was positioned in a number of senior-level management roles including Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor of Sarawak Campus at Curtin University, Australia. Moreover, Prof. Yudi is a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers - UK, the Institute of Engineers in Australia, and a registered EIA Consultant and member of the Malaysia American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
Professor Djoko Wintoro gained his undergraduate degree from Tarumanegara University, Indonesia before moving to the University of Wollongong, Australia from which he was awarded his MCom and Ph.D. Professor Wintoro previously held the position of Research Director before becoming Dean of Prasetiya Mulya School of Business and Economics in 2012. His areas of expertise span corporate finance, advanced corporate finance, corporate growth, institution depositors, investment management and financial management. Professor Wintoro has authored a number of papers which have been published in accredited scientific journals such as the Indonesia Capital Market Review and Business Management Journals many of which have been presented at international finance and business management conferences.
Dr. Rer. Pol Ida Juda Widjojo is the Vice Rector IV for External Cooperation at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya. Prior to obtaining the role of Vice Rector IV, she served as a longstanding Vice Rector for External Affairs at Prasetiya Mulya Business School. Dr. Rer. Pol Ida Juda Widjojo earned a MBA degree in Finance from Leuven Catholic University and a Ph.D with magna cum laude predicate from Bern University in 1992.
In addition to the school’s original campus at Cilandak, South Jakarta, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya unveiled their new second campus at Edutown, BSD City in August 2010. Situated among eight hectares of land, the campus is within the 50-hectare education district of the rapidly developing satellite city on the outskirts of Jakarta. Designed to cater to the school’s growing undergraduate population, the initial intake will be 500 with the student body expected to reach 6,000 by 2020.
Being developed in several phases, the new campus already boasts cutting-edge academic facilities, computer labs, the Astra International business library of over 30,000 books, the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, an Indonesian Stock Exchange corner, accounting lab and investment lab. Other features include a 400-seat cafeteria, two multi sports fields and amphi-theatre lecture rooms. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya is poised to develop a four-level laboratory for students of the Energy Engineering study programme which will be powered through the use of solar cells and windmills. Other future developments include high-end hotels within the vicinity of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya in partnership with a leading international hotel chain. The unique surroundings of Edutown, which is home to numerous local and international universities, creates a conducive environment for creative learning as the school continues to expand the scope of undergraduate programmes that it offers.
For local and international students, there are a variety of options for accommodation around both the Cilandak and BSD campuses which are situated at walking distance or close by to public transport facilities. At Edutown, BSD, there are newly built apartments, dormitories and boarding houses to suit all budgets at various distances from the Universitas Prasetiya Mulya campus.
Universitas Prasetiya Mulya has been participating successfully in international business competitions for several years. In 2008, the team representing the school came second in the renowned Global Social Venture Competition held at Haas Business School, University of California, Berkeley. In 2009, the school came in first place, ahead of 150 other business schools and was the first winner from outside the USA since the competition began 10 years ago. The winning business model was entitled ‘EcoFaeBrick’ and utilised animal waste to produce building materials in Yogyakarta, Central Java. In 2010, the school was once again recognised for innovation for its business plan entry that used solar power to desalinate sea water in coastal and remote areas of the country. In 2011 entrants from the school gained the ‘Recognition of Environmental Concerns Award’ at Berkeley, with the ‘Biolubricant’ team becoming a finalist of The Mai Bangkok Business Challenge held at Sasin University. In 2012, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s ‘Micro Oasis’ team advanced to the global final of the GSVC – a feat matched by the 2014 entry ‘Chique’, which was named the winner of the Southeast Asian portion of the competition.
Students from the undergraduate programme also participated in and won various awards in global and regional business competitions such as L’Oreal Brandstorm, Danone Young Social Entrepreneurs, Maybank Go Ahead Challenge, P&G ASEAN Business Challenge, CIMB ASEAN Stock Challenge, GE Case Challenge, Nutrifood Leadership Award, ITB Entrepreneurship Challenge, and the McKinsey Indonesia Young Leaders competition, among others.
The success in such competitions is testament to the success of teaching methods employing creative business plans and the implementation of the triple bottom line of ‘People, Planet & Profit’ in business methodology. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya will continue to encourage its students to enter business competitions and welcomes investors who are interested in further developing students’ business models.
