On 18th December 2017, BNI Syariah signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Pertamina Gas, a subsidiary of state-owned energy company Pertamina (Persero), at the Oil Centre Building in Jakarta. This latest cooperation is seen as further cementing the bank’s already close synergy with the energy provider as BNI Syariah has previously collaborated with Pertamina Patra Niaga and Pertamina EP — both subsidiaries of Pertamina (Persero). As such, through this new partnership, the bank will provide Pertamina Gas employees access to its diverse range of banking products and services.
The MoU was signed by BNI Syariah’s Director of Operations Mr Junaidi Hisom and Pertamina Gas’ Director of Finance & Business Support Mr Tenny R.A. Rusdy, and was witnessed by Mr Narendra Widjajanto as Senior Vice President of Finance & Business Support at Pertamina (Persero), and the President Director of Pertamina Gas Mr Suko Hartono.
Amongst the products and services now available to Pertamina Gas include cash management and e-banking. As part of the bank’s corporate banking division, its cash management services will enable Pertamina Gas to efficiently manage its cash flow and improve liquidity. From supervising international transactions to investments, the bank’s team of experts are well-equipped to handle the complexities of fiscal management within oil and gas companies. Furthermore, supported by the use of advanced technology and a digital platform, BNI Syariah ensures all transactions are in-line with current regulations and are conducted with complete transparency.
BNI Syariah’s most recent collaboration illustrates its capacity to offer both shariah-compliant and modern banking services. Coupled with an extensive network of 1,490 outlets nationwide in addition to an integrated ATM system with its parent company BNI (Persero), the bank continues to be a complete solutions provider to cooperatives from diverse industries; providing a fresh approach to Islamic banking in Indonesia.
